Mélomanie means music mania! Mélomanie presents provocative pairings of early and contemporary works in innovative collaborations with guest performers and composers. Mélomanie’s early music programming highlights Baroque, Renaissance and Classical music performed on period instruments. The contemporary repertoire features works from the 20th and 21st Centuries as well as world premieres written especially for Mélomanie by such composers as Ingrid Arauco, Chuck Holdeman, Sergio Roberto de Oliveira, Mark Rimple, and Mark Hagerty. Mélomanie performs throughout the region and offers a concert series at Grace United Methodist Church in Wilmington, Delaware, where it is Ensemble-in-Residence.
